Boat Rentals

Available to Greenwich residents only.  Whether you walk-in or reserve ahead of time, your boat will be set-up and launched by our courteous staff. We provide life-jackets of all sizes, both child and adult, and have sunscreen in case you forget.

The magnificent Greenwich coastline should be experienced by all Greenwich residents and their guests. Enjoy extraordinary views while exploring small inlets and islands within the protection of Greenwich Cove, or venture out toward the Sound.

For the fitness minded, try our Ocean Kayaks. Our kayaks are extremely stable and easy to use, requiring no experience. Our staff will have you paddling like a pro in minutes.

We have sailboats for all ability levels, capable of carrying up to four passengers. More experience will be needed if weather conditions are challenging.

All rentals are monitored from shore and safety boats can offer assistance if needed.

Ocean Kayaks (Single & Double)

These boats are quick and agile, yet stable and easy to use. No experience necessary. Go for a relaxing paddle, or go the distance and paddle hard building strength and endurance. The most popular rental boats in our fleet; sea kayaking is the fastest growing sport in the nation.

 

Laser Pico

Designed as an entry level training boat and enjoyable to sail as an intermediate sailor of any age. The reefable mainsail allows this boat to reduce sail area easily when the wind picks up, making the boat easier to handle. Expect to get wet, and possibly capsize! These boats can carry up to two passengers comfortably, although it is best to single-hand as an adult.

 

Laser

This famous design is a popular choice for intermediate and advanced sailors since it is so fast and powerful. A Laser can be relatively easy to handle in lighter breezes, but this boat can really get up and go when the breeze picks up, making it difficult to manage if you aren’t experienced. Expect to get wet, and possibly capsize! These boats can carry up to two passengers comfortably, although it is best to single-hand as an adult.

 

Hunter 140

A family oriented day-sailor capable of carrying up to four or five passengers depending on their weight and size. This centerboard boat equipped with both a mainsail and jib is stable and easy to handle in most conditions. Capsizing is rare due to the reduced sail area in the mainsail.

 

Hobie Wave

This boat was voted Boat of the Year, for its simplicity and excellent performance. Very fast, yet stable; this boat promises a wet and wild ride when the breeze picks up. With some simple tips from our staff as they send you out, you will find this is one of the easiest catamarans to tack. The Hobie Wave can easily handle up to four adults, although it is ideal to sail with just two.
