to two passengers comfortably, although it is best to single-hand as an
adult.
Laser
This famous design is a popular choice for intermediate and advanced
sailors since it is so fast and powerful. A Laser can be relatively easy
to handle in lighter breezes, but this boat can really get up and go when
the breeze picks up, making it difficult to manage if you aren’t
experienced. Expect to get wet, and possibly capsize! These boats can
carry up to two passengers comfortably, although it is best to
single-hand as an adult.
Hunter
140
A family oriented day-sailor capable of carrying up to four or five
passengers depending on their weight and size. This centerboard boat
equipped with both a mainsail and jib is stable and easy to handle in
most conditions. Capsizing is rare due to the reduced sail area in the
mainsail.
Hobie
Wave
This boat was voted Boat of the Year, for its simplicity and excellent
performance. Very fast, yet stable; this boat promises a wet and wild
ride when the breeze picks up. With some simple tips from our staff as
they send you out, you will find this is one of the easiest catamarans to
tack. The Hobie Wave can easily handle up to four adults, although it is
ideal to sail with just two.
